Mandarin Orange Cake

1 C. sugar
1 C. flour
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking soda
¼ t. salt
1 egg
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained

Mix all ingredients. Bake in 8x8" greased pan at 350 (325 glass pan) for 18 to 20 minutes.

 

Topping:

1/2 C.
brown sugar
2 T. milk
2 T. butter

Bring topping ingredients to a boil and spoon over hot cake.
